Location: Ulm | Type: Full-time

Why starmate?

We're not building a standard CRM. We're building "#TechWithHeart" — technology that makes genuine human closeness scalable. For our Consulting team, we're looking for someone who doesn't just understand CRM and email marketing, but is genuinely passionate about them.

Your mission

You advise our customers at an expert level: from the initial analysis through implementation to go-live. You run workshops, manage projects, and make sure starmate becomes firmly embedded in our customers' business strategy.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead projects: You own CRM and email marketing projects end-to-end — timeline, budget, quality. You mentor junior consultants along the way.
  • Facilitate workshops: You run process workshops at decision-maker level, develop solution concepts, and create requirement specifications.
  • Delight customers: You coach project leads on the customer side and help achieve an NPS of at least 8.
  • Shape email marketing: You develop campaign strategies and advise on segmentation, automation, and performance optimization.
  • Share knowledge: You document best practices and help make our methods scalable.
  • Use AI: You actively use AI tools in your daily work — not as a gimmick, but as a genuine efficiency gain.

What you bring

Several years of experience in CRM consulting and/or email marketing (campaign management, marketing automation, segmentation)

Understanding of data processes between CRM and upstream systems (system of record)

Experience facilitating workshops and creating concepts and requirement specifications

Confident presence with decision-makers and strong negotiation skills

Analytical thinking and a structured way of working

Hands-on experience with AI tools

What we offer

Salary: €45,000 – €80,000 gross/year, depending on experience (transparent per the EU Pay Transparency Directive)

Flexibility: Hybrid work (~60% office), workation option, phone and parking allowances

Health: EGYM Wellpass, weekly yoga and massage offerings right in the office

Enjoyment & culture: Weekly get-together day, barista coffee, 95% employee satisfaction

Development: Mentoring culture, AI-first organization with a state-of-the-art tool stack

Our recruiting promise

We look for A-players and take the time to really get to know you — thoroughly, honestly, and respectfully, following Topgrading principles.

Production
AI Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Ulm | Type: Full-time | Mission: #TechWithHeart

Why starmate?

At starmate, we're not building a standard CRM. We're building "Tech with Heart." While others are still talking about digitalization, we use AI as a cultural catalyst to make genuine human closeness scalable. We're not looking for a code robot, but a mate who will learn alongside us to build AI agents that truly lighten the load — not just impress.

Your mission

You'll start as a Junior Loop Engineer in the "Production" tribe and grow into real AI expertise within our team. Together, we'll build the foundation for autonomous workflows that take everyday work off the plates of our customers – theaters, museums, concert halls, and sports event organizers. Guided by experienced developers, you'll grow into full ownership of agentic systems.

Your key responsibilities

  • Prompt engineering & bugfixing: You maintain and improve existing agent integrations, learning what actually works in practice.
  • Your first loops: You build simple agentic workflows (e.g. with LangGraph or CrewAI) under guidance – gradually taking on more ownership.
  • RAG fundamentals: You help build retrieval systems that connect to our internal knowledge base.
  • Evals & quality assurance: You learn to systematically test AI outputs and trace agents' decision paths.
  • Collaboration with the team: You work closely with product management and development to spot automation opportunities.

What you bring

Python skills: You write clean code and want to get better – perfection isn't a prerequisite.

Curiosity about AI: You've explored LLMs, prompting, or agent frameworks on your own – whether through your studies, side projects, or in your free time.

Willingness to learn: You know stochastic systems can be frustrating – and you stick with it anyway.

Communication: You can explain what you built – and why it does (or doesn't yet) work.

Integrity: You handle sensitive customer data with the care it requires.

What we offer

Enjoyment & culture: Barista coffee from our portafilter machine and our weekly "get-together day" for real team spirit.

Health with heart: EGYM Wellpass (6,000+ partners) and regular visits from our fitness expert (massages & sport sessions right in the office).

Mental strength: We live our Metanoia initiative – a leadership culture built on respect, trust, and empathy (95% employee satisfaction).

AI empowerment: We're an "AI-first" organization. You'll use AI tools to cut your own manual work by up to 35%.

Flexibility: Hybrid work (around 60% office presence expected), workation options, and phone & parking allowances.

Salary: We play fair. The gross annual salary for this role ranges from €45,000 to €80,000, depending on experience.
